Our Story

I'm a graphic designer, an illustrator and sign writer. I have a bachelor of design with Honors in visual communication design and have been in the print and design industry for 4 years. I work along side my husband who takes care of the fabrication, welding and production within the business.

When coming up with a business name we wanted something that reflects our personal identity as well as describing what our business means to the customer. With strong family ties to our Nordic and Celtic heritage we chose the name Skapa which is Norse for 'to create'. As a business we want to create something individual and memorable for each of our clients.

 

Our shop is a 40ft container on our section right here in Huntly. It is filled with a 1600mm wide vinyl cutter, a 1600mm wide laminator and a instant cure 1800mm wide UV vinyl roll printer, meaning we can help with just about anything you can think of.

The idea of working from home means that we have everything we need to surpass expectations, without the costs of overheads and the savings get passed to the clients.
